Oh what a night!
The sun was shining and a summer party vibe was in the air as guests packed into the Store Street room at London’s private members’ club, One Alfred Place, for another smashing Coterie gathering.
With a theme of innovation, it was fitting to kick-off with none other than the inventor of ghd, who then went on to start the exciting company Cloud Nine, Robert Powls, talking about the creative process behind the TheO, the fab-in-a-flash pop-up heated curler system that’s causing quite a buzz. Alongside him was sensational Dublin salon owner, Dylan Bradshaw, who left us all wanting him to style our hair after creating breathtaking volume and wonderful waves on two models. Hot on their heels was Coterie committee member and X Factor favourite Adam Reed, who interviewed queen of nail artists Marian Newman, coaxing her to reveal anecdotes from her colourful career. Beginning as a forensic scientist, she metamorphosed into a respected and highly sought after nail artist guru and has collected quite a few A-list celebrities as friends along the way; including Gisele Bündchen, Sam McKnight, Lady Gaga and Nick Knight to name a few. Finally, there was an announcement from The Coterie director Marcell Gardner and Runway editor Emma Rowbottom on two additional projects in the pipeline, one of which is The Coterie sending a session team to the Alchemy fashion show. And while we can’t reveal too much about the second, let’s just say it doesn’t get any bigger than London Fashion Week!
