Creative collaborations

There are nail bars, make-up stands and even eyebrow threaders in salons these days – what more could a client want for the ultimate beauty experience? Perhaps the number of a local “special agent”? Well that’s what we got when we went down to The Chapel in Islington this morning.

The Islington Angels Ladies Network was started in March this year by The Chapel’s Ezara Ahern, aiming to provide clients and local women the opportunity to get to know their community better and offer more than just a cut and colour. Now a monthly meeting, the morning session of idea sharing over coffee and brownies has boosted business by adding to their client database and has helped build brand awareness. Last week they joined fellow Islington Angel Michelle Krausz in opening a pop-up store on Clerkenwell Road for three days, where a mix of Michelle’s jewellery, The Chapel consultations and designer handbags were available. This morning we learned about Andrea Osborne’s fabulous concierge service, Cushion The Impact, which deals with everything from personal clutter clearing to handling your business phone calls; interior designer Kelly Fannon who specialises in ‘interior mothering’; and our favourite, Special Agent Caroline Bosher, who dedicates her time to building brands, offering anything from first impression management to social media support. It’s a brilliant business idea – getting connected with the neighbourhood and looking good while doing it!
