The Many Faces of Fashion
Yesterday evening saw Coterie members and guests turn out for a truly brilliant evening of fashion inspiration and conversation, held in the cool surroundings of The Driver in Kings Cross. The event – the Coterie’s second members’ meeting – brought together a super-cool crowd to hear presentations from L’Oreal Professionnel Portfolio manager Catherine McMahon; blog and twitter guru Krista Madden; and Percy & Reed’s creative director Adam Reed.
The night was alive with discussions on hot topics, including a fabulous insight from Catherine on how salon hairdressers are engaging with the world of fashion. Krista’s informed overview of how the online world is influencing fashion, beauty and marketing had everyone talking and typing tweets. Finally, Adam had the crowd in awe (and stitches – he was very funny!) at the story of his personal journey from Somerset salon to the red carpet of Cannes.
Among the guest who joined in on the networking evening included Jimo Salako, Edward Darley, Niki Moores, Desmond Murray, Chris Appleton, and the 2010 FAME Team. Here’s to another fashion fabulous event!
We nibbled on… Delicious bite-sized canapés of asparagus crostini, Asian crispy duck pancake wraps and wild field mushrooms tartlets with parmesan hollandaise.
We saw… The mind-blowing work of Wella Professionals’ Eugene Souleiman and Josh Wood, exclusively in Creative HEAD’s new Runway magazine
We left with… Goody bags filled to the brim with the new-look L’Oreal tecni art products, including Cotton Up and Crystal Gloss.
